While obtaining a degree in Interior Design at Moorpark College, I fell in love with ceramics. That was in 1998, and I continued taking as many pottery classes and workshops as I could while creating balance and beauty in homes through design.
As my children grew up, I realized I wanted to be a full time potter. I use my design skills to help me conceptualize and execute the final product. I try to find balance and rhythm while adding clay to wheel thrown forms.
Raku firing is my passion at the moment on decorative jars! Mixing bright colors with the raw black clay enables me to create personality to an inanimate object.
